Ben has over 16 years’ experience in external engagement and business development roles, incorporating philanthropy, educational advancement and professional sports marketing. He has spent the last 8 years living and working in Brisbane, developing strong networks during this time. Ben has operated at a management level, establishing revenue generating programs with multi-million-dollar P&L responsibilities and international event management.
Prior to joining OnTalent as a Client Partner specialising in executive search in the social enterprise and not-for-profit sectors, Ben was the establishing Foundation Manager for Villanova College. Previously, at The University of Queensland and working in partnership with UQ’s Campaign Board, he was the Campaign Manager for UQ’s $500m philanthropic campaign entitled 'Not If, When. - The Campaign to Create Change'.
A senior operations professional with extensive stakeholder relationship management experience, Ben has also worked on innovative integrated engagement campaigns for Harlequins Rugby Club, the Queensland Reds, JDRF Australia and London Irish Rugby Club.
During his career, Ben has supervised the recruitment and direction of numerous staff including large-scale event and program delivery teams, volunteer bodies and committee groups. Outside of work, Ben is a keen amateur golfer and has a strong interest in rugby and current affairs.
