Gallipoli Medical Research is an independent approved medical research institute, dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of veterans, their families, and the wider community through advancing medical research. Founded in 2005 and based at Greenslopes Private Hospital, the organisation investigates areas of significant clinical need, engaging with individuals, businesses, academic institutions, and communities to grow their research. They have a sharp focus on translational research with immediate and meaningful impact, extending from the laboratory to the hospital bedside and into the community.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Veteran Mental Health Research will drive the strategic vision and develop a three-year road map of veteran research priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to scale new collaborative national and international initiatives and continue to strengthen our relationship with our key partner, RSL Queensland.
The role requires an exceptional people leader that can inspire a vision to execution, with aligned values and strong stakeholder management skills.
We anticipate that you will have a broad executive skillset, be a strong people leader and have experience in developing multi-disciplinary teams. Essential to success in this role will be a significant track record in mental health research and evidence of success in attracting research funding. Your experience would be underpinned by a PhD or equivalent.
