OnTalent is delighted to partner Maritimo, a proud family-owned leading Australian luxury motor yacht manufacturer. Founded in 2003, and employing close to 300 staff and sub-contractors, it’s one of the largest of its kind in Australia. With a customer base spread strongly throughout Australasia and the America’s, future expansion is planned within Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
As part of the organisation’s growth strategy, an exciting and new position of Business Development Manager has been created to work in conjunction with the Senior Management Team as well as the Australian and American Sales Directors. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will lead the global sales strategy, planning and implementation for the Maritimo business; and will be instrumental in the research and development of new growth markets, as well as optimising current markets.
This role requires a strategic and innovative mind and relies on extensive experience and skills in influencing, stakeholder engagement, relationship, and network building. You will need to leverage extensive international networks to identify and pursue sales and growth opportunities and be accountable for leading and the implementation of the organisation’s sales strategy.
To be considered we are seeking candidates who possess confidence, credibility, and experience in a senior international business development role involving high-end luxury products or services.
You will have demonstrated experience in contributing to and achieving clearly defined strategic objectives and extremely strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills with a focus on win-win outcomes.
With strong decision making and strategic thinking skills, you’ll need to have an analytical mind and demonstrated experience in contributing to and achieving clearly defined sales objectives.
Ideally, you will have a passion for and deep knowledge and understanding of the international boating industry and although primarily based in Australia, once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted there will be opportunities to travel internationally.
