Rosies – Friends on the Street has spent almost 40 years walking alongside people experiencing homelessness, isolation and disadvantage across Queensland. Behind that mission is a small and deeply committed leadership team working to ensure the organisation remains sustainable, compliant and equipped to support thousands of volunteers and community members each year.
We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Business Manager to work closely with the CEO as a trusted operational and financial leader within the organisation.
This is a broad and influential role suited to a commercially capable professional who is motivated by purpose and wants to contribute meaningfully to an organisation grounded in compassion, dignity and service.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the Leadership Team, the Business Manager is responsible for the operational and financial stewardship of Rosies.
You will lead the organisation’s finance and business operations across:
- Financial management, reporting and compliance
- Budgeting, forecasting and audit coordination
- Risk and governance frameworks
- Property, facilities and fleet management
- Technology planning and overseeing of outsourced relationship
- Operational systems and process improvement
- Regulatory and legislative compliance
The role requires sound judgement, emotional intelligence and the ability to work collaboratively in a mission-led environment with staff, volunteers, patrons, leadership and Board stakeholders.
About You
You are an experienced business, finance or operations professional who combines commercial capability with a genuine alignment to purpose-driven work.
You are likely to bring:
- Significant experience in finance, business management or operational leadership
- Strong financial and analytical capability, including budgeting, reporting and compliance
- Experience managing risk, governance and organisational operations
- The confidence to advise and partner with senior leadership
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- The ability to lead calmly and collaboratively within a small team environment
