This company is a specialist in energy storage solutions and is seeking a Customer Applications Engineer to support the commercial activities of the business, working with end customers and third parties in the partner eco-system.
You will work with customers and partners across Australia but will also work (where required) in the support of an international customer base.
From an operational and delivery perspective, the Customer Applications Engineer will:
  • The role will primarily be accountable for providing technical support to customers and partners in conjunction and under the direction of the territory sales leads.
  • The position will report to the Chief Commercial Officer.
  • The Customer Applications Engineer will also be required to ensure all technical aspects of customer solutions are fit for purpose and meet customer expectations.
  • Respond to customer requests and requirements for technical input including but not limited to application design guidelines, analysis of customer applications including technical feasibility and economic modelling (with support from the sales team as required).
  • Training, education and presentations on the company’s technology and how it can be applied to customer situations, as required.
  • Generate understanding of customer requirements for the company to better respond to customer needs.
  • Feedback customer experience to Engineering team to drive product improvement and new product development processes.
  • Identify variations on, and new, applications and user cases.
To be successful in this role you will have experience as an Customer Applications Engineer role within a similar company. You will have experience across the following:
  • Either a relevant technical or commercial degree qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and respond to customer technical requests.
  • Solid understanding of renewable industry in Australia.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to effectively present technical information to a variety of stakeholders (technical and non-technical).
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Manage and prioritise complex task and deliver expected results on time.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot complex systems under pressure.
  • Experience in power, solar , smart energy or microgrid applications.
  • Experience communicating technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
