This organisation plays a leading role in delivering critical domestic and family violence support across the South Burnett. They are now seeking a compassionate and capable practitioner to join their frontline team, with accommodation provided for the successful candidate.
About the role
This full-time role, based across Wondai, Kingaroy, and Murgon, delivers safety-focused support to women and children impacted by domestic and family violence. You will conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans, and collaborate with local services to ensure holistic, integrated responses.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver trauma-informed, client-centred DFV support
- Undertake risk assessments and develop individual safety/support plans
- Liaise with police, courts, and service providers to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in counselling, group programs, and community engagement
- Maintain accurate case documentation and contribute to service reporting
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience supporting high-risk DFV clients and managing complex caseloads
- Strong working knowledge of DFV legislation and practice standards
- Cultural capability and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients
- Current Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid/CPR certification, and driver’s licence
