As a key contributor on the executive leadership team and reporting to the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for the provision of service and advice in end-to-end human resources management including Workplace Health and Safety, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, and Learning and Development.
You will be accountable for designing strategic and operational plans that support effective workforce management and succession planning and provide a comprehensive range of in-house human resources services to the management team to enable them to meet business plans and organisational objectives. 
Key areas of responsibility include:
  • Advise on and implement Industrial Relations policy and procedures
  • Develop long term recruitment and retention strategies
  • Establish and ensure appropriate governance is in place at all sites relating to HR policies and procedures
  • Lead Training and Development of staff, to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with Accreditation and other legislative requirements
  • Workplace Health and Safety Management and reporting incorporating policies, practices, and applicable reporting
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of ten years experience in a senior HR/IR management role with well-developed “generalist” knowledge and a strong understanding of employment frameworks, modern awards, enterprise agreements, and HR practices with a “hands-on” approach.  This role requires someone who is driven, enthusiastic, a professional role model as a coach and mentor and you think creatively and develop and implement innovative solutions within a business context. You have the ability to collaborate with others by quickly finding common ground, solving problems, and negotiating successful win/win outcomes.
Formal qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline is required and previous experience in service delivery or the private health sector will be highly regarded.
