Opera Queensland | Brisbane

Help shape the future of one of Australia's leading performing arts companies.

Opera Queensland creates extraordinary artistic experiences that inspire, challenge and connect communities across Queensland and beyond.

As the state opera company, Opera Queensland is bringing the power of storytelling to diverse and growing audiences through ambitious productions, regional engagement, education initiatives and meaningful collaborations.

To support the next stage of growth and impact, Opera Queensland is seeking an exceptional Partnerships Manager to help strengthen and expand the organisation's network of supporters, corporate partners and strategic relationships.

This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded relationship-builder to play a pivotal role in securing the partnerships and investment that enable world-class artistic experiences to reach audiences across Queensland.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Business Development, you will be responsible for growing and stewarding a portfolio of corporate partners while identifying new opportunities to strengthen Opera Queensland's community of supporters and advocates.

You will build meaningful relationships with business leaders, decision-makers and influential stakeholders, creating compelling opportunities for organisations to align with one of Queensland's most respected cultural institutions.

Working across sponsorship, stakeholder engagement, events and strategic relationship management, you will:
  • Identify, cultivate and secure new partnership opportunities
  • Strengthen and grow existing corporate relationships
  • Develop compelling partnership proposals and engagement strategies
  • Create long-term value for partners through exceptional stewardship and delivery
  • Represent Opera Queensland across business and community networks
  • Support high-profile events and engagement opportunities that connect supporters with the organisation's artistic vision and leadership
  • Contribute to the continued growth of private income and strategic partnerships
Success in this role will be measured not simply by revenue growth, but by your ability to build trusted relationships that create lasting impact for both Opera Queensland and its partners.

About You

You are a natural connector who thrives on building relationships, creating opportunities and bringing people together around a compelling vision.
You may come from partnerships, sponsorship, philanthropy, fundraising, major gifts, advancement, business development, membership, stakeholder engagement or a related field. Regardless of your background, you have a proven ability to engage influential individuals and organisations, identify opportunities and convert relationships into meaningful outcomes.

You will bring:
  • Demonstrated success in relationship-led revenue generation, partnerships, philanthropy or business development
  • Experience developing and presenting compelling proposals, cases for support or partnership opportunities
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management capability
  • Confidence engaging with senior executives, donors, sponsors and community leaders
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to achieving outcomes
  • An appreciation for the arts, culture, education, community impact or purpose-led organisations
Most importantly, you will be motivated by purpose and excited by the opportunity to contribute to an organisation that enriches the cultural life of Queensland.
