Job Description
From an operational and delivery perspective, Program Quality Engineer will:
- Identify the initial Program Quality objectives, build-up the quality management plan and ensure a regular follow-up with all relevant stakeholders
- Achieve the Quality objectives at key milestones throughout the NPD lifecycle
- Provide feedback and lessons learnt from Production, Supplier and Field Warranty back into new engineering programs via EPL’s
- Ensuring the specifications of the product program meet the quality requirements
- Reporting program quality status for weekly SMT (Senior Management Team) meetings
- Reviewing product test plans that will meet design requirements
- Working with engineering to ensure the following tools are completed on FMEA (Failure mode and Effects Analysis) with consideration of Special characteristics, capabilities, Tolerance stacks, PPM, etc.
- Have the authority to raise the progress of a delivery if key objectives are not met
- Approve the "Design Validation Plan" and "Production Validation Test" established by Engineering and ensure its completion according to the program milestones
- Lead the development process for measurement, checking and verification of program quality
- Define and create the quality control plans
- Be responsible for conformity, quality and traceability of any parts delivered from the supplier along the development phases
- Interacting with production, supplier and field quality engineers as part of Quality team
- Initially cooperating with suppliers regarding quality aspects until PPAP approved
- Prepare and compile the PPAP (Production Part Approval) files, and are responsible for the submission of the initial samples, including process validation audit
- Lead the relationship with Engineering Program Leaders (EPL’s)
- Use of Non-Conformance and Engineering Change Management tools
- Supporting internal auditing and external auditors where required
- BSc/BA in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree
- Experience in the review Program Quality objectives, build-up the quality management plan and ensure a regular follow-up with all relevant stakeholders
- Understanding of APQP and Product Creation System
- Experience and awareness of the approval process of the "Design Validation Plan" and "Production Validation Test" established by Engineering and ensure its completion according to the program milestones
- Experience in interaction and the development of effective working relationships with production, suppliers and field quality engineers as part of Quality team
- Experience in the preparation and compilation of PPAP’s (Production Part Approval) files, and are responsible for the submission of the initial samples, including process validation audit
- Ensuring the specifications of the product program meet the quality requirements
- Reviewing product test plans that will meet design requirements
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and drive a strategic agenda
- High energy levels to ensure successful project delivery or turnaround success
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
