OnTalent is delighted to partner with the Sisters of Mercy and support their magnificent Adderton: house & heart of mercy which is situated in one of Brisbane’s historical landmarks – the former All Hallows’ Convent in the gardens of All Hallows’ School overlooking the Brisbane River and Story Bridge.
  
This beautiful, colonial-era building has undergone a major refurbishment to reinvigorate and create a special place that actively engages visitors in an important celebration of an extraordinary part of history, ensuring its kept alive and vibrant – acknowledging the work of the Sisters and their ministries in the areas of education, health, community services and social justice.
  
At Adderton, the role of Public Programs Coordinator compliments a small curatorial, production and public programming team to create and present an annual calendar of exhibitions, displays, installations and activities that promote the spirit of mercy through a focus on learning, justice, engagement, hospitality and reflection.
  
In consultation with the Curator and Creative Producer, you will plan engaging activities and events taking carriage of all logistics from scheduling, ordering/contracting, set-up & bump-out.
  
In order to be successful, you will have demonstrated experience in coordinating all aspects of public programs and events in the arts, education, not for profit, membership based or community services environments.
  
You will have a proven ability to find solutions to problems as they arise and deal quickly and effectively with unforeseen issues. This role requires exceptional customer service principles for delivering high quality public programs to a wide range of visitors. A conscientious and reliable team player, you won’t be daunted by changing schedules, challenging timeframes or sometimes basic tasks.
  
You will have a demonstrated understanding of and/or capacity to understand, work within the mission, vision and values and contribute to the culture of the Sisters of Mercy Brisbane Congregation Office and associated sites.
  
Essential is an A-class Queensland Driver’s License and the ability to work after hours as required. A working knowledge of events/venue software would be beneficial. Note that this role will require the ability to manoeuvre presentation equipment and light furniture.
