We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join a unique independent statutory authority that plays a critical role in supporting accountability, transparency and good governance across Queensland.
Working within a small, high-performing People and Culture team, you will partner directly with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to provide practical, commercially-minded and risk-informed HR advice. This is a genuinely broad generalist role, offering exposure to employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, workplace health and safety, organisational capability and learning and development.

About the Opportunity
As a trusted HR advisor, you will:
- Provide expert advice on legislation, industrial instruments, policies, employee entitlements and workforce matters
- Partner with leaders to manage employee relations, performance, conduct and wellbeing matters
- Support recruitment and workforce initiatives across a diverse professional workforce
- Contribute to workplace health and safety programs and workforce risk management activities
- Assist in the delivery of learning and development initiatives that strengthen leadership and organisational capability
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and employee experience
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide practical solutions to complex people challenges
To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience within the Queensland public sector or a comparable government environment
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, awards and enterprise agreements
- Experience managing a broad range of employee relations and workforce matters
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Sound judgement and the ability to balance compliance, risk and business outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or a genuine interest in Workplace Health and Safety and/or Learning and Development will be highly regarded
- Brisbane CBD location
- Flexible full-time arrangement (36.25 hours per week)
- Hybrid working environment with flexibility to balance office and remote work
- Immediate commencement preferred
- Labour hire, fixed-term contract and mobility arrangements considered
