LGIAsuper is one of Australia’s longest-running and most trusted superannuation funds, having served Queensland communities for over 50 years. The fund commenced in 1965 and had 10,000 Queensland local government employees as members; today the fund has grown to over 80,000 members. We are now seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a dynamic and high performing team of specialist finance staff. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is located at their Brisbane Head Office and offers an opportunity to join a growth-oriented organisation with an exceptional brand reputation. 

In this role, you will implement efficient and effective management of the tax obligation and risks, and work with external advisers where appropriate. You will be required to oversee all corporate taxation matters including monthly tax position reporting, yearly and monthly compliance and returns. You will oversee matters for all entities and subsidiaries and oversee all taxation matters relating to overseas activities.  
  
To be successful you will possess strong management reporting capabilities as well as sound knowledge of contemporary tax management experience together with a practical approach to the latest tax issues and models. You will have a minimum of 5 years in a similar role preferably within the Financial Services arena and have significant experience conducting tax assessments, audits, calculations and projections within the multiple categories of tax. You will possess credible communication skills as you build, lead and manage the tax framework and provide advice with regards to appropriate product structures and potential enhancements.
  
Suitable candidates will have a relevant tertiary qualification and be CA/CPA qualified. If successful, you will be joining an exceptional team and have support from members of the finance team in completing your objectives.
