Tritium is experiencing rapid growth with revenue doubling year-on-year, and employs over 250 people through its offices in Brisbane, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.

This role will take full responsibility across whole of business ensure quality, supplier quality and quality management systems are defined and operational across global business units and functions.

From an operational and delivery perspective, the VP Quality Assurance will:
  • Ensure product and factory quality, supplier quality and quality management systems are defined and operational across global business units and functions
  • Define and employ appropriate level of quality assurance tools and methods from design phase through manufacturing and field performance
  • Work with functional teams to deploy quality control measurements, controls and reaction plans
  • Participate in development process to assess criteria through development phases and product lifecycle management
  • Interface with customers as required, communicate company’s quality systems and structures Leadership
  • Create and communicate an overall vision for quality within the company, setting goals and recommending changes to achieve these goals.
  • Determine organizational structure and roles and responsibilities for Quality and Reliability organization
  • Provide strategic insight for organizational structure and initiatives
  • Provide tactical guidance on problems solving and improvements
  • Create an environment conducive to continuous quality improvement and implements systems to nurture quality excellence.
  • Focus quality initiatives on a pro-active rather a reactive structure 
  • Drive quality mindset and processes into the organization
  • Define and execute quality work processes, coupled to corporate efforts, to support customers; drive efficiency and response enhancements to improve the customer experience
  • Develop and execute a root cause analysis system to drive customer learning back into all facets of development methodologies and factory controls
  • Drive strategic leverage of quality performance metrics across the enterprise

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience across the following:
  • BSc/BA in Engineering, Computer Science or a related degree, possible; MBA
  • Experience in a technology company, with quality, design or manufacturing responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and provide strategic insight and analysis to solve problems and make improvements. 
  • Strategic thinker capable of providing clear, balanced advice/counsel on a broad range of strategic and complex management, product and technology issues
  • Results-oriented with a high degree of analytical ability and proven problem-solving skills
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills; effectively builds strong relationships and partnerships within and outside of the company as well as effectively manages conflict
  • Ability to thrive and quickly adapt to change; leading others through change in a dynamic, fast-paced industry and work environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with an open, honest and direct communication style that develops rapport and credibility across the organization, and promotes ideas and proposals persuasively
