A unique and exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic leader to provide strategic leadership in the management of The Workshops Rail Museum, a multiple Queensland and Australian Tourism Award winner. Located in the regional city of Ipswich, the birthplace of rail in Queensland, this heritage site includes hands-on exhibits chronicling 150 years of rail history alongside industrial machinery and beautifully restored treasures.

To secure this opportunity you will have substantial knowledge of, and experience in, managing a museum or similar institution. You will be a skilled communicator, dynamic leader and effective administrator able to balance social and commercial outcomes to drive a seamless visitor experience whilst delivering agreed financial targets. Adept at seeing the ‘big picture’, you will galvanise multi-disciplinary teams and achieve results whilst maintaining balance and perspective. You will have a flexible approach with proven experience in providing timely, well informed, professional advice.

You will be committed to personal, professional and technical growth, whilst displaying innovation, self-awareness and willingness to learn and share knowledge.
