Data Engineer

You will be part of a growing dedicated engineering team that will be at the forefront of this new technology development. The role is responsible for collation, management, analysis, and reporting battery performance data and statistics.

From an operational and delivery perspective, the Data Engineer will:

  • Produce regular updates on the status of the Redflow battery fleet.
  • Collect information from the field service team.
  • Collect information from the battery database.
  • Maintain current statistics on the whole fleet.
  • Produce regular reports and presentations on fleet performance and state-of-health.
  • Develop new methods for integrating data from multiple sources.
  • Look at existing manual methods for building battery life histories and the drive to automate this process.
  • Recommend new methods to streamline and automate data processing.
  • Develop competence in diagnosing and interpreting battery performance data.
  • Investigate possible correlations between manufacture, operations, performance, and failure modes.

To be successful in this role you will have experience as a Data Engineer within a similar industry and product offering. You will have experience across the following:

  • Engineering degree in Electrical, Chemistry, Systems Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Competence in Excel, Power BI, Database systems, and Python programming.
  • Experience with renewable energy technologies.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Ability to structure informative reports.
  • Skills in researching literature and writing reports on investigations.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Has an inquisitive nature and is not afraid to dive deep to root cause problems.

Process Engineer

You will be part of a growing dedicated engineering team that will be at the forefront of this new technology development. The role is responsible to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in manufacturing processes. The role is responsible for designing, optimising, and maintaining production processes to maximise output, minimise waste, and ensure product quality.

From an operational and delivery perspective, the Process  Engineer will:

  • Design and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, production, quality, and supply chain, to ensure alignment of process improvements with overall business objectives and customer requirements.

To be successful in this role you will have experience as a Process  Engineer within a similar industry and product offering. You will have experience across the following:

  • Engineering degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on plastics-related challenges.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Has an inquisitive nature and is not afraid to dive deep to root cause problems.

Mechanical Systems Engineer

You will be part of a growing dedicated engineering team that will be at the forefront of this new technology development. The role is responsible for the requirements definition and development of reference designs for new mechanical systems to be incorporated into a new product line. You will be given the opportunity to develop new skills as well as ownership, accountability and empowerment within this role.

From an operational and delivery perspective, the Mechanical Systems Engineer will:

  • Coordinate all related product development activities: from product design, development, testing, verification, manufacturing and product validation.
  • Design, develop, test and validate complex mechanical systems.
  • Perform 3D CAD modelling, including wiring harness routing, and 2D drawings.
  • Complete design and analysis of enclosures and structures, ensuring compliance to project scope and legal requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders and suppliers, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Monitor project safety and ensure safety control measures are in place where appropriate.
  • Create and update manufacturing documentation including product manuals, work instructions, checklists and forms.

To be successful in this role you will have experience as a Mechanical Systems Engineer within a similar industry and product offering. You will have experience across the following:

  • Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar.
  • Product development experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in CAD software (CREO preferred).
  • Experience with PLM software and process (Windchill preferred).
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Has an inquisitive nature and is not afraid to dive deep to root cause problems.

Power Systems Engineer

You will be part of a growing dedicated engineering team that will be at the forefront of this new technology development. The role is responsible for the approval of engineering models, and reports, electrical calculations, design layouts, site layout drawings and cost estimates.

From an operational and delivery perspective, the Power Systems Engineer will:

  • Building DC and AC Electrical BESS models in modelling-based software the likes of HOMER etc.
  • Developing technical requirements for connection application
  • Power System Analysis Studies
  • Creation of Manufacturing and other associated documentation.
  • Battery Management System (BMS) functionality mapping
  • Energy Management System (EMS) compatibility assessment.
  • Cross-team collaboration.

To be successful you will have experience as a Power Systems Engineer within a similar industry and product offering. You will have experience across the following:

  • Engineering degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Of interest would be Advanced degree in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent (Masters or PhD)
  • Product development experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in electronics, energy storage, embedded software-based product environments. Experience in some areas of development across these domains.
  • Skills and knowledge of system production and reliability engineering.
  • Product improvement experience – Continuous Improvement activities, Lean approach, FMEA’s etc.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Has an inquisitive nature and is not afraid to dive deep to root cause problems.
