Chief Financial Officer

As a member of the executive leadership team, you will make a significant contribution to the overall strategic outcomes of TasWater, creating a high performing culture and improving the operational effectiveness of the business. You will be responsible for leading the commercial, financial, corporate planning and reporting functions and advise the CEO on all financial matters.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the development of the Strategic Plan, Corporate Plan and quarterly reporting on performance, in addition to preparing regulatory submissions, developing pricing regimes and managing the relationship with the Economic Regulator. You will also facilitate the successful delivery of the Digital and Technology Strategy and Cyber Security Strategy.

We are seeking candidates with strong financial management skills including treasury, tax, financial reporting, governance and a proven ability to develop financial management strategies in a large, complex, regulated business environment. You are a strategic thinker, have a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (including pricing) as well as management reporting and reporting processes in a GOC, utility or large complex environment. You will bring a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of digital and technology trends and their relationship to business improvement as well as proven development and implementation of business systems aligned with business strategy.
  
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Finance with several years of senior management experience, including working with a Board as well as a CPA/CA qualification are required.
