Arguably most well-known for its Kids Helpline service – Australia’s only 24×7 professional counselling and support service for children and young people – yourtown’s service offering extends to include:
- Provision of mental health and wellbeing support.
- Providing refuge, transitional housing and broader support for women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence.
- Support for parents and carers, including refuge support for at risk young parents and their children.
- Providing support for young people at risk of long-term unemployment, including a range of social enterprises.
Services are designed and continually updated to ensure that they are best placed to meet the wants and needs of children and young people. In addition to direct service delivery, yourtown uses its extensive data sets to engage in advocacy to ensure that the voices of young people are heard and considered.

- Conduct of yourtown charitable art unions
- Donor and bequest programs
- Corporate and community partners
- Government/s

As part of routine board composition review and renewal yourtown are seeking expressions of interest from experienced non-executive directors that align with the organisation’s values and purpose. Skills and expertise from a commercial setting, preferable customer or client facing roles such as marketing, business development, funding, corporate development and/or government relations will enhance the board’s effectiveness.
Combined with your NED experience and specific skills and expertise, yourtown is seeking an individual with a commitment to young people whilst developing and exemplifying Lasallian values.
