What do you do to help you find balance in your work day?
Whilst it will be different for everyone, making an effort to take some time out of the office on a regular basis is critical to our wellbeing. Whether it’s exercise or simply taking some time out to read your book away from your desk, there are some very real benefits to doing so.
As I sit for most of my day (which is not in my nature), I’ve found that I need to take the time to reset and burn up that excess energy!
I have been fortunate to work in the beautiful city of Brisbane. I have tried lunchtime Yoga sessions, and although it was something that I really enjoyed, I was tied to certain times during the day. This caused me stress, ironically.
I work with two colleagues, who are keen runners and we have started our own running club. We run twice a week in our lunch break around the Brisbane river. We’re not the only ones, either. We have other members of our team who take time out on their own to visit the gym or buddy up. I’ve found this time out of the office is beneficial in many ways:
