About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Technology is a pivotal enterprise wide leadership role overseeing both Information Technology and Operational Technology. This is a rare opportunity to shape and execute a visionary Technology Roadmap that supports BAC’s transformation, innovation pipeline, and growth agenda.
You’ll lead a capable team of 40+ FTE and contractors, driving technology strategy, digital transformation, cyber security, and the delivery of high value, customer oriented services. With a strong partnership focus both internally and externally, you’ll support diverse business areas (retail, car parking, operations, and more), streamline operations, and provide meaningful contributions to commercial outcomes.
Key deliverables include strategic and digital planning, risk and security oversight, spearheading innovation with an impressive funnel of opportunities within BAC’s Innovation Practice, and the implementation of high impact, value driven technologies. This is not a role about maintaining the status quo, it’s about execution, leadership, and enabling Brisbane Airport’s next decade of transformation.
About you
You’re a visionary and proven leader with a track record of innovative delivery and supporting high performing, customer centric technology teams. You’re adaptable, collaborative, and commercially savvy, an enterprise wide thinker who thrives in fast moving, complex environments. Your leadership inspires performance, innovation, and alignment with organisational values. You have a deep understanding of emerging technologies, cyber threats, and digital opportunities, and you know how to translate them into tangible value. Whilst experience in critical infrastructure, aviation, or similarly complex environments is highly regarded, above all, you’re a culture builder, agile, inclusive, and focused on delivering outstanding experiences to both internal and external stakeholders.
