Kym Nelson

Kym joins our team with over 20 years’ experience in leading HR & Recruitment teams in a variety of industries including logistics, talent advisory and IT. Prior to OnTalent, Kym was the General Manager of People and Capability with an indigenous, family owned, global logistics business with operations in Australia, USA, Canada and New Zealand. This purpose-based business was passionate about giving opportunities to unskilled youth and worked relentlessly with support charities to achieve our diversity targets. During her tenure, the company grew from 300 employees with an annual turnover of $30 million to 1,200 employees with a turnover of $90 million. Prior to this, Kym worked over 10 years leading recruitment teams consulting to the public, corporate and community sectors.

Kym is an HR leader with extensive experience in driving performance and process outcomes that add commercial and cultural value. She has been successful in delivering positive, critical outcomes to achieve business goals and is passionate about people and directing organisational growth through effective performance, accountability, and cultural transformation.

Kym completed an Advanced Leadership Program at Women & Leadership Australia (WLA) and has partly completed a Masters in Human Resources at Southern Cross University. Kym is also accredited in Hogan and DISC. Kym’s role sees her partnering with organisations to achieve alignment between HR objectives and wider business goals, build organisational and workforce capabilities, and collaboratively design and execute business/HR strategies to deliver critical outcomes.
