Brisbane CBD | Contract to 24 December 2026 | Potential Extension

We're partnering with a large Queensland Government organisation seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System.
This is an opportunity to lead a significant body of work that will have a lasting impact across a large and complex organisation.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys bringing people together, influencing outcomes and navigating complexity. You'll work closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts and stakeholders across the organisation to develop and implement a practical, integrated system that supports compliance, continuous improvement and organisational capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of an integrated Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System.
  • Drive consultation and engagement activities across a broad stakeholder group.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, risks and delivery outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and subject matter experts across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Support capability uplift in health, safety and wellbeing practices.
About You You may come from a workplace health and safety background, or you may have delivered complex governance, compliance, organisational change, business transformation or operational improvement projects.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
  • Proven project management experience within complex environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build credibility quickly.
  • Experience translating strategic objectives into practical outcomes.
Qualifications in workplace health and safety or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
