About the Company
Our client is a global organisation operating across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and Africa. They are a well-established player within the software development industry, offering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This role will support financial reporting activities, including month-end processes, and partner closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely insights.

You will be a proactive and detail-oriented accounting professional, contributing to core financial operations while assisting with analysis, reporting, and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and inventory adjustments
  • Review general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy across business units
  • Deliver reporting within required timelines, including variance analysis (actual vs budget)
  • Maintain integrity of financial data in line with internal policies and procedures
  • Prepare and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand financial performance drivers and provide insights
  • Support audit processes, including preparation of workpapers and reconciliations
  • Assist with account reconciliations and commission calculations as required
  • Develop an understanding of group reporting structures and financial systems
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
About You Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Experience in a commercial accounting or analyst role
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting)
  • Experience with journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet tight deadlines
Desirable
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar)
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition and lease accounting standards
  • Exposure to financial reporting tools (e.g. SAP BPC or similar)
