If you have built your career in underground hard rock operations and moved, or wish to move into long-term or Life of Mine planning, this is a role where your thinking will help shape the future direction of a significant asset.
This is a senior technical position with genuine influence. You will work across a complex underground mining environment where long-term planning matters, and where your work will inform strategy, capital decisions and the long-term value of the operation.
What you will be doing

Your work will include:

- developing and refining Life of Mine plans that balance technical, operational and economic realities
- working closely with geology, processing and operations to ensure plans are integrated, practical and executable
- contributing to strategic decisions around sequencing, cut-off grades, capital development and optimisation
- using modern planning tools such as Deswik, Datamine, Vulcan or similar to test scenarios and support decision-making
- engaging with senior stakeholders and translating technical outputs into clear, useful recommendations
What you will bring
You are likely already working in long-term planning, or you are moving naturally in that direction from a strong technical mining foundation.
You will bring:
- a Mining Engineering background, or adjacent civil or geotechnical, or similar experience with strong mining exposure
- solid underground hard rock experience
- exposure to long-term, strategic or Life of Mine planning, or at least mid-term, rather than only short-term scheduling
- an understanding of how planning decisions connect to production, processing and overall asset value
- the ability to work across functions and influence decisions at a senior level
What the role offers
This role offers the opportunity to step into a position where your work has visibility, influence and long-term consequence.
You will have the chance to:
- help shape the future direction of a significant underground assets
- work alongside experienced technical and operational leaders
- deepen your exposure to strategic planning and asset optimisation
- be part of a business operating at scale, with complex and genuinely interesting challenges
- build a role and lifestyle in a semi-remote Canadian setting suited to people who value substance, community and proximity to the operation over a major city base
If you are ready to move from doing planning work to influencing the future direction of an operation, this is worth a conversation.
