Commercial Accountant
Due to growth you'll support the CFO in this growing commercial wholesale business sitting upwards of $20 Million in turnover and growing.
- 1 day WFH upon successful completion of probation
- On site parking with flexi start time either 7:30 or 8:00 / finish 3:30pm or 4
- Mentorship opportunity directly reporting to CFO
The opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of a broad finance remit while partnering closely with Sales and Operations to provide meaningful financial insights and support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Own month-end reporting, including management accounts, journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and Board reporting support.
- Coordinate forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling to support business planning and decision-making.
- Manage statutory compliance (BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT), year-end requirements and small weekly & monthly payroll of 9, liaising with external accountants and auditors as required.
- Business Partnering closely with Sales and Operations, providing financial insights that support commercial performance and decision-making.
- Take ownership of inventory accounting and identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and controls.
We’re looking for a hands-on Commercial Accountant who combines strong technical accounting capability with a commercial mindset and the confidence to engage with stakeholders outside of Finance.
Ideally, you will bring:
- 3+ years' commercial accounting experience
- Accounting or Commerce degree (CA/CPA qualified or currently studying)
- Strong management reporting and forecasting capability
- Exposure to inventory accounting and ERP environments
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills
