Chief Operating Officer
Chief Operating Officer
Queensland Gastroenterology | Greenslopes Private Hospital precinct
OnTalent is proud to partner with Queensland Gastroenterology to attract a senior operating leader with commercial, people, systems and stakeholder accountability to grow their business.
About Queensland Gastroenterology
Queensland Gastroenterology is a leading private specialist medical practice largely based at Greenslopes Private Hospital, supporting a highly respected group of gastroenterologists and a busy patient-focused service environment.
The practice has a clear strategic plan centred on patient experience, organisational growth, workplace culture, service improvement and value for stakeholders. The Chief Operating Officer will play a central role in converting that plan into practical commercial and operational outcomes.
The opportunity
This role suits a commercially proficient, operationally disciplined and people-oriented executive.
You will work closely with the Managing Director, Board, Executive Directors, clinicians, administrators, nursing staff, hospital executives and external advisers. Your impact will come through establishing clear priorities, robust and reliable delivery and sound commercial judgement.
Your remit
You are an experienced senior operator with commercial acumen, emotional intelligence and the credibility to work effectively with doctors, Board members, hospital executives, external stakeholders and staff.
You bring experience from a complex service environment. Experience in private healthcare, specialist practice, hospital operations, professional services, multi-site services or another regulated, relationship-led service business would translate well. Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualifications, including an MBA, would be advantageous but are not essential. You understand financial management, reporting, people leadership, change and operational systems.
You are collaborative, inclusive and engaging, with the judgement to read the room, work constructively with different views and manage change in a way that builds trust. You combine attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger commercial picture.
Why this role is exciting for you
You will help lead Queensland Gastroenterology through its next stage of growth, with real influence across performance, culture, systems, reporting, business confidence and the ability of the organisation to scale.
